CHATERS (AGAIN)
Hi, I am looking for records of my Grandfathers brothers and sisters, I have looked on ancestry without any luck, the varient spellings in census records which I have are as follows: Chaters, Chayters, Chators, Chater, Chator.

This is them in 1901: 1901 CENSUS CHAYTERS William Chayters 48 Durham Bishop Auckland Durham Heworth Coal Miner Hewer
Sarah Chayters 43 Staffs Dudley Durham Heworth
I have marriage cert for the above marriage

William Chayters 18Durham Gateshead Durham Heworth Coal Miner Shifton
Richard Chayters 14 Cumb Maryport Durham Heworth Coal Miner Driver
Richard was my Grandfather I have his Birth and Marriage cert.

I can not find any records for births marriage or deaths of the following:
Sarah Chayters 12 Durham Heworth Durham Heworth
John Chayters 8 Durham Heworth Durham Heworth
Mary Chayters 6 Durham Heworth Durham Heworth
Anny Chayters 3 Durham Heworth Durham Heworth
Edward Chayters 7M Durham Heworth Durham Heworth

         i am currently trying to trace the chater family. the chaters i am looking for lived in edlingham, northumberland.around 1810. does this match with the chater family you are looking for ?

Should it be Edmund Chayters not Edward?

Possible marriage
Benjamin Chaters to Margaret J Bell June 1/4 1919 Gateshead vol 10a page 2398

Birth Edmund Chaters June 1936 Gateshead vol 10a page 1276 Mother's maiden name Bell

An Alexander Chaters also married a Bell in 1922 in Gateshead but it was an Alice Bell.
