Working through Welsh newspapers on line I have spotted a couple of references to workhouse burials and Cardiff (Cathay's) Cemetery. Keeping costs to the minimum was paramount - as has been mentioned in several of the posts - and para 3 of this item refers to Cardiff Workhouse Guardians' efforts in that direction (see col 5).

Hello,
I was researching a lady who passed in Pontypridd workhouse. Glyntaff cemetary helped me and
sadly she was buried with others who had also passed in the workhouse in Glyntaff cemetary.
