Completely lost, I am looking for the parents of George Ernest Johnson, he was born 1892 and Baptised 14 Oct 1892 Hackney parents William & Sophia Johnson. George went on to marry Emily Kate Gorton and the marriage banns state William Frank Johnson as his father. I have searched the 1901 census for William & sophia and George with no luck, can anyone help.
I did find a Sophia in the 1901 census with a daughter Charlotte but no George.

What appears to be that same William, with Sophia and a couple of children, are in Mile End Old Town in 1881, He is a wheelwright, born Colchester, Essex - RG11/478/133/12.

1891 they are at 35 Forest Road, Hackney. Same address as in George's baptism - RG12/193/66/59

They were still at 35 Forest Road in 1898 when Elsie Sophia JOHNSON was baptised.

Perhaps they split up. Can't see Sophia in 1901.

Marriage probably William JOHNSON and Sophia PORTER at Colchester in 1878. No Frank as a second name.

William and Sophia had a son called Frank, born 1884.
