Trying to identify mothers maiden name from birth cert

Hi, I'm trying to decipher the maiden name of Anne Edwards on the attached cert. It looks to me like Ansley, but I can't be certain. I can't find any record of an Ann(e) Ansley marrying William Edwards between 1837 (start of records in FreeBMD) and 1841, nor can I see any records for a birth/christening of Ann(e) Ansley. Thanks.

EDIT... perhaps it's Anstey. The t/l looks like the t in Eighteenth, but not like the l's in other words.

I think you may be right about it being a T. I vote ANSTEY

Someone else agrees. There is a submitted entry on the IGI for a marriage of William Edwards to Ann Anstey 31 DEC 1823  Dyrham And Hinton, Gloucester.

There are certainly plenty of Anstey's buried around that area

I agree with "ANSTEY" - the first "t" in "Eighteenth" for the date registered looks the same
