im lokking for information on joshua loveless! i think he was born 1790! he was married to an ann bush who was born in 1794! they had a son called william loveless born 1828! i was just wondering if any one can help me find joshua's parents. any information would be helpful

im pretty sure they came from dorset. i got it from family search on the IGI but im stuck now

The record that I found from the Dorset Baptisms is the same as the IGI submitted one that Lydart found - just checked it - familysearch is playing up!

Hi

OPC Dorset has transcribed a marriage of Josiah LOVELESS & Catherine Taylor both of Leigh married 25 October 1777. (Josiah/Joshua?)

And a Leigh death for Joshua LOVELESS aged 74 died 9 Jan 1865 B1791.

Also FindMyPast has baptisms as follows:
20 Mar 1785 William LOVELESS son of Joshua and Kat of Leigh born 2 days
01 Apr 1798 Ann LOVELESS dau of Joshua & Catherine of Leigh born 24 March

Wide spread of dates but do-able...

Vaz
BRIDGES - Norfolk, Liverpool/Conwy
FLETCHER - Salford/Wavertree
ATHERTON - Gorleston-on-Sea

The Dorset OPC Leigh page has baptisms going back to 1677 and marriages back to 1678 ... should provide you with lots more info if you check it ... (I haven't !)

And Jode, don't forget to consider slightly different spelling when you look at records that old ... i.e. Loveless could be Lovelace ...
