Crimean War
« on: Monday 15 February 10 17:33 GMT (UK) »
Hello
Could someone please help me and my cousin falling out over a family query?
We have a relation who was killed at the battle of Alma on the 20th Sept.
My cousin thinks it is John Thomas LeFevre and I think it is Joseph LeFevre.
Which ever one it is can you tell us if it is possible to find out personal details to verify for us that he is family and, further request, is it possible to know where he is buried?
Thanks for any help received.
Regards   Pauline

Joseph Lefevre, 41st Regt killed at the Alma.

As to where he's buried, undoubtedly somewhere in the locality of the battlefield.
It wasn't the practice to repatriate the dead or to move them very far at all.
