Can anybody help me find a birth record for PEARL codling (male) born to Pearl and Hannah Codling in the Hillington area circa 1811 please

I don't think so. Mine seemed not to have moved much (normal for Norfolk then) till my G. Grandfather ventured down to London. Mine were all round Hillington.

Hi Infamous,

Pearl Codling was born 2 April 1809, and baptised at Hillington by Pearl and Hannah - a bonus is that Hannah's maiden name is given as Coleman.

I also noticed a "Money" Hillington - baptised by the same couple in 1812.  Unusual names!

Ta for that. I thought Pearl was a woman at first! I've seen it transcribed as Paul too.

Sorry, I've just noticed I put Money "Hillington" on my last post - should be Money Codling.

I looked for a marriage for Pearl and Hannah, but couldn't find one in Hillington.

Poor man, fancy being called Pearl.

Pearl ran in the family it seems but it had died out by the 20th century.
