Humpy,

In freebmd at http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl you will find the GRO reference for JT's birth registration during the March qtr of 1853 in the Reg. Dist. of Winchcombe.

Go to http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/ to find out how to obtain his b-cert.

Regards

Chas

Dear Humpy

I'm happy to do Winchcombe look-ups for you

BTW in your posting of 12 Feb I presume you meant Silk Mill Lane

to: Rob2.  Just been reading your messages and wondered if I might come in - I was intrigued to see your mention of Silk Mill Lane, Winchcombe, as I had just found a reference to the Arnold family living there in 1851.  I am still trying to work out if they are connected to my ancestor, John Arnold 1814 and his father John approx. 1776.   A family document states that John snr. had eight children so I am open to any connections/leads.   Jazgran.

Dear Jazgran

John Arnold married Ann Jennings at Winchcombe on 7 October 1801 and by 1812 they’d had five children baptised locally. Is this your man?
