Is there anybody out there that has any connection to Thomas James Lay born in Hoxton died in Wandsworth?
Lay, Wright , Carter, Hunt, Clerkenwell, Newsouthgate Wall, Cann Hammersmith, Holborn or in London and Greater London ie Middlesex, Surrey.  Any connection to Lay families who originated from the Hoxton - Tower Hamlets, Shoreditch area would be greatly received.

Hi Alan
It would be interesting to see if we have a cross over in our family trees.  Thomas James Lay (Old Tommy) was an interesting character a one time 'famous London gambler and bookmaker'. I believe from the 1851 census he had siblings and would like to make some connection to them.

Hi
I've got Thomas Lay in my tree born 1829 Deptford, Kent.  His daughter Ellen 1853-1890 was my GGGrandmother.  She was born in Bethanl Green and married an Italian by the name of Charles Brazaghi.  Do you think there is any link?
