Census lookup request please

I am trying to reunite my Great grandfather Thomas James Lay Born Dec 1836, St Leonards, (Hoxton) Shoreditch with his Father John Lay and mother who was possibly Ann Lay.  I would like to know if anyone could locate his household for me on any census between1841 to 1871?  I have made many attempts and cannot definitively connect Tommy with his parents.  I would be most gratefull as Old Tommy seems to dissapear off the face of the earth after he was born and not turn up again until his first marriage in 1864.  (still in Hoxton). ps. I have found the household of a John and Ann Lay on the 1851 census in Hoxton but no sign of Thomas James.

What is the address you have for the 1851? that could be a starting point as there is no index as far as I know for 1841.
There are no Lay families on the 1861 Shoreditch pieces 235/ 237/238/239 that I have.
