I need help.

I am trying to find out the parents of Richard Gilson ... I do not know the date of Richard Gilson's birth...he married a Mary Keyworth, they were married 16th March 1809.

Could anyone please do a look up for me? All of my Gilson side seem to live at Burton Salmon , Sherburn In Elmet, Stainton by Tickhill and Sheffield all in Yorkshire.

I would appreciate any help  ???

There is an entry on the IGI (found at http://www.familysearch.org) for Richard Gilson:

born 29 Jun 1780, baptised 4 Jul 1780 in Sherburn in Elmet, parents Thomas Gilson & Sarah Warroner.

This is from an extracted record.  If you want to check it out, you could order the film from your loacl LDS family history centre for a small fee.  No guarantee that this is your Richard but it may be worth following up.

Thank you Nell...much appreciated.
I did have that Thomas Gilson and Sarah Warroner as Richard GILSON's parents but thought I was going along the wrong line. But seems I must have been right there with your confirmation.
I had got to Thomas Gilson's parents as Richard GILSON married a Frances PICKERING  married 1723 at Brotherton Yrks. and had hit and still have it seems getting back further.
I am hopeless at trying to get back further...I just cannot get anywhere. I cannot find out when or were this Richard was born... :-\
