Sorry to be a pest, but i seem to have been here before. My Gg grandmother Minnie Florence pope married david Fensom in 1886.Her father was George Pope Bootmaker. i was led to believe she came from Kent and ended up in London with David.
Now my problem is i sent for what i thought was her birth cert it says Minnie Flora ,dates dont match and George is a shoemaker. Thats three things kinda alittle out makes me wonder if it could be right.
Anyway sorry for rattling on theres another Minnie Florence pope 1865 St George Hanover Square could anyone with Ancestry have a look at this for me please Thankyou Jules

The St Geo Hanover Square Minnie is a daughter of John (a grocer/draper in 1871) and Mary.

The Cranbrook one must surely be yours.  One of the witnesses at the marriage to David William FENSOM was a Gertrude Helen POPE.

Gertrude POPE is a 3yr old daughter of George and Sarah A POPE in Cranbrook in 1871, and younger sister of 5 yr old Minnie: RG10/949/33/10.

Thankyou,for helping,its just it says flora on her birth cert and she must have lied because its a good six months out on date Cheers jules

Six months is really neither here nor there - people were much less accurate on ages then than they were now.

Her birth was registered Dec qtr 1865 and she claimed to be 21 when she married on 8 August 1886.  She can't (mathematically) have been six months short of her 21st birthday.  But in any event lots of people inflated their age to 21 at marriage as it avoided the need for parental consent, which was required for the marriage of a person under 21.
