Italy: DAGOSTINO - Emigration records to England
« on: Saturday 06 February 10 09:52 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone help me with a look up.

My great grandparents emigrated from Italy to England in the late 1800's, most likely the 1880's/1890's.
They were Pietro Dagostino & Maria Dagostino (nee Pacitti).

I've been told they came from Bari but I'm yet to verify this.

Thanks

Hi Clara Jo

I'm not sure there is anything that can simply be looked up - there are no indexed systematic collections of records of incoming migrants from continental Europe.

May I suggest you contact the Anglo-Italian FHS http://www.anglo-italianfhs.org.uk to see if anyone else has researched or is researching the Dagostino or Pacitti familes?

I was advised to post on here as apparently records would have been kept for ships leaving Italy.

Can anyone help?
