John William CROSS

I am trying to find some information regarding my Gt Uncle John W CROSS b 5 oct 1890 Tuddenham , Suffolk, son of William Cross and Mary Ann Neale.

The 1901 census has him still living at home in Tuddenham.
I have a record of him living at no 25 Turnpike Road , Freckenham in Jun 1960 with his wife May.
Unfortunately I cannot find a marriage for him although he may have served in the army around 1911.  The only ref for a John W Cross born Suffolk in the 1911 census shows him as a private in the 21N empress of India's Lancers , Cairo , Egypt but this is not confirmed as being my John Cross.

If anyone can throw any light on his marriage , wife's maiden name and children , if any , it would be greatly appreciated.

There was a marriage between John William Cross and Nellie M Sparkes Sept. qtr 1921 Mildenhall 4a 2379

Nellie May Sparkes b.reg. Dec qtr 1901 Mildenhall 4a 951

It is possible that the following births are from this marriage -

Elizabeth Cross (M.Sparkes) Sept.qtr 1926  - 4a 105
Dorothy E Cross    "    June qtr. 1930  - 4a 103

both West Ham.
