I do not know where he was born but he and Margaret had a son Ned Kiely who lived in Dungarvan, and had a family funeral business.  One of the kielys lived in Keaton Street Dungarvan ( was my mothers cousin)

I beleive that he is Ned son. I am informed that my relitives of the Mcgrath family worked for Ned, Dennis Mcgrath and his sons certainly worked with them and Neds mother was my Grandmothers Sister.
If you can advise me of the address or telephone number I would be grateful.

Maggie or Lis---could you please contact me regarding the Kiely family--I have Kiely roots and mine are from the Ballymacart area and I am wondering if they are related to the folks who own the funeral home in Dungarvan.  Any help you can give would be great --someone told me to contact the funeral home because there might be a connection between our families and I'd like to make sure!!  Thanks for your help.  Mary Jo

Hi All

I am searching for a J' Keily waterford who is (half?) brother to Edward Coffey and had a sister called Bridget (Kiely?) who may have lived in London for some time. There mother Katie lived outside Tramore (Newtown? Westtown?) and may have later married again and had another son.
Edward Coffey was known as 'Ted' and my information is that J' Kiely may have had a son 'Ned' who my mother vaguely remembers visiting in the early 1950s.
Does this information fit with the information you have? Or am I on a wild goose chase?

Many thanks
