I cannot find John in the 1861 census. In 1841 and 1851 he was living in Hindon Lane, St George Hanover Square, with wife Mary. He was a carpenter. His children were, William, Caroline, Mary, Lucy, JOhn and Henry.
In 1871 John was still living with Mary and now a builder, living on Pulford St. But where was he in 1861? Can anyone help me please?
I also have his son John, born 1833, Strand, London, whom I cannot find in the 1861 census either! His first son William, was born in Trowbridge, Wiltshire around 1861. In 1871 JOhn was living 48 River Side, Merthyr Tydfil, and he was an "air ball maker".
In 1881 he was in Newport, Monmouth, 1891 6 Cross St., Cardiff, and in 1901 in 145 Woodville Rd, C ardiff (with his second wife.) Can anyone help with the 1861 census for him too please?
