My gtgrandparents were at 71 Tureen St in Calton til about ca 1877. My Gt Granny had lived in Bridgeton prior to her 1867 Marriage. I note that Bridgeton is listed in as being part of a certain Glasgow lin but no mention of Calton

Bridgeton and Calton are adjacent to each other, separated by the present day London Road

This is a good map of registration districts for Glasgow for that period

Thank you. This is very helpful. I've now looked up Crawford Street and Nelson St.

Only 1 Building stands today that keeps the Tureen St name alive. It is the old Tureen St Primary School, which has been a Nursery for 15 Years now. It is also used for community Groups in Calton.
The street has gone now but for that Building

Calton was once an independant Burgh outside the Glasgow boundaries famous initially for its weavers it became infamous when those same weavers became militant due to the destruction of their liveliehood through cheap imports. The army were called in and several men were shot (The Calton Martyrs)

Later the area became highly industrialised and also home to large numbers of immigrants (primarily from Ireland).
