I've only found a couple so far but I think this is because most of them were buried, i've just not got round to checking the cemteries registers yet!

i dont have a problem with any of my lot who went to the crem because the family didnt start getting cremated untill 1976 but my dads was very easy to find he died 25/12/95 not the day of the year you forget lol.

It's worth checking the sunderland.gov URL as they have just changed their system a few days ago. Follow the links from the sunderland.gov homepage and amend your shortcuts.
Incidentally, they seem to now have lots more births/deaths in the 20th century

hi franke the rise in deaths and births will have to do with the increse in people moving here for work pluss the town grew out taking over more villages.

No - I was referring to the births and deaths searchable on the register office's website. There were barely any until the other day/week.
