reuben born 1819 had lewis(sometimes called thomas)1843 and URIAH smith,silvester,constance,jarinia,counselletta.its mainly URIAH i am concerned with.urish had EARNEST also known as oni,omi,ainess!!!!patience,comfortvashit and levi between the years 1875 and 1885.now i am looking for any offspring of the above to put in touch with their cousin son of selina smeth born to earnest,any help gratefully received.cathayb

hi,. cathayb my name is bob mitchell, my great grannie was anne lee, married name wilson. she had five daughters,one married a smith.i am not too sure, but we used to camp with them and one was called oni, sometimes called deaf oni. there are lots of the same smiths living in darlington county durham.and still travelling. my cousin louie wilson is wed to john smith.they live at darlington.give that area a look on the usual sites. cushty bok

 hi as far as i know he used to hawk, but he seemed to be on the camp a lot, he was old when i remember, that must be 1958, 1960. i was little  so every one seemd older,but oni was old?thats it really. i just remeber people seemed to be shouting for him a lot. and at that time we camped  in the midlands ..quite a bitused to camp with the finneys and the greys. good luck. bob

Hi Cathayb I have spoken to you before as I know Lance . I was tracing Beaneys and Brooks. I have traced my roots back and have William brooks(great Grandad) marrying Patience Smith in Bromley 1907.
I have my Patience Smith on 1881 census at imber Wilsthire age 4 with parents as Uriah Smith (37) and Elizabeth (33) Anniess 7, Comfort 2 and Vashti 3 weeks.
I have also seen a note that says that they married 24/12/1900 at Laverstock Wiltshire - parents Reuben and Hercules Smith. I havent got any further back than this yet. I dont know if that helps.
