I was born there in 1943. My mother had trained at King Edward VII in the latter 30's. 70, Alma road, Clewer within UD (according to my birth certificate). Thanks to Little Nell for drawing my attention to this Thread. I haven't driven past it since the '90's.

Alma being named after the first battle of the Crimean War. There are a lot of Alma Roads in UK. 
Griffiths Llandogo, Mitcheltroy, Mon. and Whitchurch Here (Also Edwards),  18th C., Griffiths FoD 19th Century.
