Smith family - Kirkcaldy

I am interested in the Smith family. My Great Grandparents John and Elizabeth Smith gave birth to my Grandfather Robert Hunter Smith born 1913/14, address High Street Kirkcaldy. My grandfather and his father are proving to be quite elusive and i was hoping to find out more information about them. I also know they had a daughter Jesse, but she died at a young age.

Have you looked for John & Elizabeth's marriage on Scotlands People which is a paysite?  www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk

Their marriage cert will show their respective parents names and mothers maiden name

With a surname like Smith you need to be certain of parentage

If you don't know Elizabeth's maiden name - you could look for the birth reg for Robert Hunter Smith which will give you that information
