Yes, I have the 1871, 81, and 1911 Census - what I am trying to find in who is the Father to Ivy Ramsey shown on the 1911 Census, and if possible the marriages for the others.  Nicholas and Jane are my ggrandparents! and all the information on the gmothers siblings has been lost.  Hope you can help.

You've lost me a bit Joan.  ;)

Who is Ivy Ramsay? How old is she on the 1911 census? Where was she born? Have you been able to find her birth registration on FreeBMD? If not someone is sure to be able to assist. Obviously purchasing her birth certificate is the best thing to do and should give both parent's names (IF known  ;))

But we need a few more details about Ivy first.

I have to pop out now so hopefully someone else will be able to step in to help. I will return later.  ;D

(no parents) I will look up the bmd and see where I get.  Ta for your help.

Well, as Jane E appears to be the only likely daughter, it looks like she may have married a Rams*y, though I haven't located the marriage as yet.  :-\

OK. Looks like she might be illegitimate.  ;)

Births June 1903
Mclean
Ivy Ramsey
Gateshead district
volume 10a
page 1164

You can check this on FreeBMD and order the certificate via the GRO.  ;D No father may be named, however it looks like that middle name is a large hint at who he is.  ;)

Hi Ruskie
Thanks for that info, I know Rebecca married a JNF Scott and Agnes married a Tweddle, but the rest of them are a mystery! 1911 shows only 5 living, and I know Rebecca and Agnes lived, so I guess its back to the drawing board. Thanks for your help.
