He isn't with them on that passenger list - so it is a possibility.  ;D

Keep this one in mind. I have to go back and check but I think I saw Mary and Henry in New York as you originally said.

1910 Manhattan Ward 16, New York, New York.
John Latimer 69 Born Ireland. Immigrated 1882 Widowed.

Hi.

ThaT sounds interesting, widowed for the second time.

I have Mary and Henry on both 1920 and 1930 census in New York

Going to go on to Scotlands people now and buy more credits.

Mary

Thanks for the help with this thread. Have found the death of Ellen Devlin Latimer, in 1876 and John Latimer`s re-marriage to Margaret Martin in 1878.

So far no sign of William`s death, but will keep hunting.

I know a lot more now than I did a few hours ago.

Thanks again.

Mary

Hi Mary

For your consideration:

http://www.germangenealogygroup.com/NYCDEATHSEARCH.asp

This web site has "a" Margaret T. Lattimer, deceased on 21 Jun 1896, Manhattan, age 40, which would match what Dettori found on 1881 census.

Hello Mary,

May I trouble you for the details of your research on John Latimer & Helen Devlin?
I have him remarrying in Annie Jane Davies in Liverpool in 1903? Your research thread might suggest I have this wrong.  I'd be grateful for better info.

I tried to follow the link from Grub but it is broken.

I have:
John born Conheath Cottage, Caerlaverock, Dumfriesshire,  Ireland 1843
Helen born Edinburgh, Scotland (1850-1876)
they marry in St Patrick's Chael, Cowgate, Edinburgh, Scotland 1869
2 children,  Mary Ann (1872-1959) and William (1974-).
Helen passes in 1876
John remarries to Annie Jane Davies (1875-1942) in 1903 in Liverpool, England. I'm guessing I have this wrong?

Daughter Mary Ann arrived in the US between 1879-1885 suggesting she is betweeb 5-13.
Son William - I only have his birth and have lost him

Mary Ann marries John Kemp (1898) in Episcopal Diocese of NYC.
5 kids, John Henry (1901-1988), Marjorie (1903-1987), twins Marion (1905-1990)/Helen (1905-1906) and Dorothy (1907-1994)

Marion is my grandmother  ;D
