Information on William Leslie Burton, Liverpool
« on: Wednesday 27 January 10 21:21 GMT (UK) »
Does anyone have any information relating to a William Leslie Burton, born in 1909.
He married Eleanor Ethel Whinery in 1931 and they had a son the same year in Liverpool and he left two years later.
Could have remarried but don't know whether he is still alive or deceased, as would be 101!

Hi again,

If you search for William Leslie Burton born 1909 on the 1911 index only one match comes up and it says he was living in Birkenhead.

On the FreeBMD, there were 3 William Leslie Burton's born in 1909 but only one in Birkenhead.

Don't know whether this helps or not  ???.

If the Birkenhead one is correct. . . William is with Robert John Park Burton b. 1852 and Hannah Burton b. 1875

There is a possible marriage for them . . .
Robert John P Burton / Hannah Davies

Just thought I should mention there is a William Leslie Burton who according to the death registration was born on 30 Dec 1908.  The reference for the death registration is:-

William Leslie Burton
Aug 1990
aged 81 years
Liverpool 36 860

So if the dob is correct, his birth would have been registered in the 1st qtr of 1909.

Therefore, maybe the death in Gloucester wasn't your William after all.
