RYE Parish records CD - Microfiche

Could someone inform me whether Rye Parish records are available to buy on CD or in Microfiche form like the KFHS do?

Although Rye now in E. Sussex - pre-boundary changes it was in Kent one of the Cinque Ports.

OOOhhh-er, here's where I disagree! Cinque (Five) Ports plus two Ancient Towns - Rye and Winchelsea. But Rye has NEVER been part of Kent. The boundary is very close, but the town is Sussex to the core.

I am not talking about any recent boundary changes

I beliene that when the Cinque Ports were created both Rye & Winchelsea were in Kent, yes the border is so close you could miss it & you criss cross over when driving around the area.

The Rye Parish Records started 1538 & will be the Record Office in Lewes if thats any help.

Thank you. I know what's at all the record offices etc having been there a few times but wish to look them up from the comfort of my own home like I do with all the other towns and villages which appear in my tree.

I am not returning to Rye until may and wish to build up a list of all the properties I wish to photograph and so on but wish to fill in any missing children from many lines to have a full family tree.

The other option is to join the Sussex Family History Group which gives you access to their online records which include Rye.
