An earlier post sent me that reference but thank you for that.  I did buy the book about the disaster and it cost me a small fortune, but it was very interesting.

Have you contacted the British Columbia Archives about a report on the inquest? I believe (but could be wrong) any inquest into a mining disaster would be the jursidication of the province and not the federal government so any records of it would be held in BC.

I asked because you said you had contacted the Canadian Archives. The BC Archives and Library and Archives Canada are different entitities.

You mentioned the death record you received is difficult to read. I picked up a copy today and it is mostly legible although there are a few typewritten words that are a little hard to make out including the cause of death. It says "Co. poisoning following explosion". I suspect it won't add to what you know but if you want a new copy I will scan it and send it along.

Please PM me your email address if you are interested.

I can help you with this.  I am a member of the Princeton Museum Society and have a record of burials at the Princeton Cemetery as well as burials of two other local cemeteries.  If you tell me who you are looking for, I will see if I can find them in my data base.

There is a stone there with all the names and Hupton was there.
Possibly they could not recover the bodies?

Thank you for that.

I have a picture of the stone and until recently I thought the same, but due to helpful people on this site I have found out there is a grave and they are going to take a photo of it when the snow clears.
