The death registration should list where the person was buried.  If you don't have the registration, you can post the person's name here and one of us out here in BC can look it up for you.  Princeton is a small town so I think there are only one or two cemeteries to choose from.

You could try the Museum and Archives - their website is under development but they do have an old fashioned postal address!

Many thanks.

The person's name is Cornelius Hupton and he died 13th August 1930 in Blakeburn British Columbia in the Coalmont pit explosion.  I have recently sent to the Canadian Archives to see if I can get copies of the inquest.

I have quite a bit about him and finding his burial place would finish it off nicely.  I you need any other info please let me know.

Del,
I had hoped with the records I have to be able to give you a fair bit of info.
What I have is Cornilius Hufton (as it was spelt) was killed in the disastrous mine explosion in Blakeburn BC on that terrible day back on Aug 13 1930.
The record only shows that : he was born in 1908 in England and that he is buried in Princeton BC.
Many of those graves are not marked.
I have records for Princeton from 1919 - 1954.
I will also send you a PM.

Many thanks for taking the trouble to reply & PM.

Sadly looks like I will never find his resting place.  But I am hopeful that I will receive info regarding the inquest etc and find out how he died.  His DC is illegible as I got it via e-mail and it didn't travel very well.

Cornelius was buried in Princeton BC...if there is a grave stone or not ,I do not know.
Many men were killed that day and many died after from injuries.
Sad day indeed!
A few years back a fellow by the name of Terry Malanchuk ,researched Blakeburn info and then wrote a book.
it is call Blakeburn BC "forgotten Ghost Town"
Soft cover 167 pages.
ISBN # 1-4120-5315-3
I have not read the book...but did assist him on much of his research.
