Lookup For Hoy/Ridley Family
« on: Monday 25 January 10 06:58 GMT (UK) »
Hello

I'm at the beginning stages with this enquiry, and so have very little information.

I'm trying to find out about the parents of Joseph Hoy (b. 1905 Gateshead) His Fathers name was William Hoy and his Mothers name was Mary Hoy (nee' Ridley).

I know this is'nt much to go on but it's all I have at present.

Any Help would be really appreciated

Kind Regards

Chris Ridley

Hi Chris,

A quick lookup of the free 1911 census index suggests that this is the family Joseph was born into

1901
RG13/4758 41 36
Gateshead, Durham
21 Sunderland St
2 rooms occupied

William Hoy, head, 30, Bricklayer
Mary, wife, 28
John Wm, son, 7
Dorothy, dau, 3

All born Gateshead

Do you have a marriage for William and Mary?
If you did, you could see both fathers, occupations and addresses.
