Margaret Joy 1820 Harrogate
« on: Saturday 23 January 10 17:09 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to find the parents of  Margaret Joy c1820, Follyfoot, Harrogate, my 3 x gt grandmother. She married John Stocks in 1837. On the marriage certificate her father is given as George Joy, a labourer, but I don't know where he was born or who he married. Margaret and John were married in the parish church of Batley and were both living in Churwell, Leeds at the time of marriage. John Stocks was born in Beeston 1815. Any help very much appreciated as always.

Many thanks. Very much appreciated. On the marriage certificate the witnessess are George Johnson and Joseph Chadwick so no luck there. Am now one step nearer though.
Thanks again
