Are these two men the same person?

Could any let me know whether these are  the same person please?  I know the identity of the older one with the moustache but not the other.  The were both taken in the same area.  Any help appreciated please?

they look quite similar and it is always harder when one is a full frontal and the other an angled but I would hesitate to say no they are not the same person. To me the face shape seems a little different as does the nose.
But I could be wron

then again, the more I look the more I think maybe they are LOL their ears seems quite similar

Thanks. All the pics I have of the second have a moustache and/or a soldier's cap so difficult to know.

Would dating the photographs give you a better clue.  My initial reaction is that while there are only a few years between the ages of the two men,  the photographs could be twenty years apart.  It is however difficult to tell without seeing the full borders and knowing what is on the back of them.  An expert on clothing might also help to date them.

Thanks.  The back of the younger man is pasted below. The other has a plain back.  A picture dated 1900 of him in uniform may help?

If this a later one of the younger man, then I would probably say they are not the same person
