Lookup Request - 1871 Census Erpingham

Hi,

Pleae could a kind person undertake a lookup on the 1871 census for

Martha Ann Pigott b. abt 1866 Salthouse, Norfolk

She may have been in Salthouse or in South Shileds during the 1871 census.

There was anotehr sister called Mary Jane Pigott b. abt 1867 who hopefuly would have been in the same household. Could really do with knowing all the details of the household

No luck also on Martha but did find Mary J Peggot b abt 1867 Salthouse, living with:

• father William, b abt 1836, Master mariner
• mother Sarah A, b abt 1846
• brother Thomas J, b abt 1869
• sister Florence, b abt 1870

This family you have found certainly look promising, does it give the place of birth for any of the family? and are they currently living in Salthouse on that census?

If the dad was born Sherringham and the mum born London I might be able to place them in an already established family I have on my family tree. Or if the dad was born Weybourne its probably a line I haven't been able to bring forwards.

William was born in Weybourne and Sarah in Salthouse - as were Mary and Thomas. Florence though was recorded as being born in South Shields, Durham!

Wow Neale, Thanks, this is what I suspected. This family has been particularly hard as I have lots of Williams all born around the same time in the Norfolk villages. But with this bit of info I am hopeful I can finaly place him
