St Johns Lane, Bedminster
« on: Friday 22 January 10 11:35 GMT (UK) »
Does anyone have any photographs pf St Johns Lane, Bedminster, taken around 1945-46.
The reason i am asking, is that my Grandfather worked in the "Irish Camp" and died in St Johns Lane on 14th November 1946

I did contact the Archives in Bristol, but no luck

Hi DSR,

Thanks for posting that link.  I  have just been on an hour long trip down memory lane.  I was brought up in the area between Victoria Park and Perretts Park and went to school in St John's Lane and went to dance classes in Windmill Hill.  Great trip.

Thanks,
Elizabeth
