William Vincent, Janet Hannan

Hi
I am trying to find details of the children of William Vincent and Janet Hannan, and more info on William Vincent.
What I know so far, to be veriifed
William Vincent and Janet Hannan married 1818 in Bo'Ness
1. Mary Vincent born 25th Aug 1819 in Glasgow
2. Thomas Pringle Hannan Vincent, born Edinburgh c 1821
3. George Vincent born c 1823
4. Robert Vincent born c 1826
5. Frank Vincent born c 1829
I have found in the 1851 census a record of William, Jane, George and Frank living in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, in which it states that William Vincent was born in England.  I know Thomas Pringle Hannan Vincent married in Greenock, then left for Australia in 1853. Any help or information on the other family members would be a great help, there appears to be a Vincent black hole regarding them

Hi just wondering if you have given any thought to the message I sent you a wee while ago on whether you think that there could be a connection between Your Janet Hannan and my Pringle Hannan  I am wondering if they could be sisters?Pringle is my G G G grandmother Hereford

Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the same person, but Thomas Pringle Hannan married Margaret Morgan nee Colville....she was first married to James Morgan.

Margaret and Thomas had children before they were married.  They lived in Victoria, Australia and moved around alot as their children where born in different locations.

Hi Everyone,

Just noticed this thread.  My grandmother was an Eleanor (Helen) Vincent whose father was Thomas Pringle Merrin Vincent according to my records (could be wrong). He married a Barbara Wilson and had 11 children.  Thomas left for Australia from Glasgow 12 Jan 1853 on the Wacousta for Melbourne.  He was successful in the Victorian goldfields but not digging for gold.

I have an excellent photograph of him.

I have some info on some of the other children of Thomas Vincent and Janet Hannon. But I don't have any info on Mary Ann (maybe known as Molly) and Ethel Maude (apparently went to the US?)

Do you know anything about these two members of the family?

I think the following
Janet Hannon was mother to Thomas Pringle Hannon Vincent
Janet Hannon was sister to Robert Hannon (born 1802)
also sister to James, Thomas, Jean(MArgeret) and Douglas Hamilton Hannon

Douglas Hamilton Hannon born about 1814. His son was Thomas Pringle Hannon, born about 1833, arrived in Australia in 1853. Thomas Pringle Hannon married Margaret Colville
