Looking at the IGI Forbes Angus married Margaret Inkson in 1867. Possible second marriage?

There are submitted entries for his birth around 1802 and marriage to Elisabeth Lamb around 1835, and the birth of their son James in 1836. I presume the names came from his death certificate in 1916?

There are census entries for Forbes Angus in Aberdeenshire (and elsewhere)
in the 1841 census (FreeCen) in Kinnellar Aberdeenshire aged 29.
in the 1851 census (FreeCen) in Old Meldrum aged 34.

There are 5 deaths for Forbes Angus 1855-2006 on Scotland's People, 2 before 1900.
1 in Tarves, Aberdeenshire 1870
1 in Bathgate, West Lothian 1856

Hope this helps
Kirsty

Might I suggest that you should now be able to follow his widow and any family through the censuses? You may uncover more of the extended family.

Hi Elleceebee,

I am a direct descendent of Forbes ANGUS, he was my gt gt gt grandfather. I would be interested in any information you can share with me. What is your husband's line?

I am looking for:
Forbes ANGUS birth (est c1802) and marriage to Elizabeth LAMB
James ANGUS birth, reported as St Nicholas, Aberdeen but I cannot locate it on IGI fiche; estimated DOB Oct 1835-1836
Elizabeth LAMB death - between James' birth and his marriage in 1858 where she is recorded as deceased. I suspect that she died when he was young as he was listed as living with his grandparents in the 1851 census, age 4.
Where was Forbes ANGUS in 1861? He does not appear on the census.
Forbes ANGUS marriage to Margaret INKSON
Margaret INKSON previous marriage/s?
Jane FORBES birth, parents, family

Thank you
Dale
