This is one of the handicaps of researching a 'common' surname! Now that you've sown the seed of doubt in my mind, I'll have to get to Leics Archives and see if the PR, and whatever else I can find, can shed any light about this conundrum, and whether there is any link between our lines (quite likely, considering how tiny the village is!).

I show 'my' William Henton as marrying 1837 in Market Bosworth to Sarah Higgs, then having 9 children between 1838 and 1854, all in Sibson: Josiah, Mary, Ann, Eliza, William, Sarah A, Alice, Charles and Harriet.
Of these, William is my direct ancestor, having moved from Sibson to Derbyshire where he's shown on the 1891 and 1901 censuses as a Gas Stoker. The 1901, though, shows his place of birth as 'Sysin' or 'Sysen', which has been interpreted by Ancestry.co.uk as Syston when it clearly is not. The 1891 gets a bit closer (Sibstone).
