The following marriage may be the one you are after?

Charles Richard LUNNON married Alice Mary PHELAN in 1922 reg no 105550

you would have to obtain the marriage certificate to verify the parents

Jenn and Tisha, there's the death of a Charles Richard aged 77 in Ballarat in 1974. Parents  = Charles LUNNON & Alice McELONE.
Ref = 12313

Perhaps Tisha can let us know if these are indeed the parents.  :)
If it is, then purchasing the image of the death certificate would reveal any names of offspsring.  :)

The image can be purchased and downloaded at

There is a James Hugh LUNNON on the electoral roll in Victoia but not in Learmonth - Camperdown is about 120k distant.. (You can see them on Googlemap)

1930 James Hugh LUNNON, Derinallum, station hand (District Corangamite; subdistrict Camperdown)

1936 James Hugh LUNNON, Mawolok, Beaufort, station hand (District Corangamite; subdistrict Beaufort)

There are no others of same name listed with him.

There appear to be two Charles LUNNON entries on the electoral rolls, both in Victoria
Charles Richard LUNNON in Ballarat up to 1954 (extent of my access) and Charles William LUNNON in Gippsland - only till the 1930s.  Charles Richard in Ballarat is listed as butcher, and in 1924 is at the same address as a number of other LUNNONs so it looks somewhat unlikely that he would be an immgrant on his own.

There is an account of the death of James (called Jack in the paper) on the National Library's digitised newspapers, The Argus, 30 April 1936.

At the Ballarat Cemetery there are interments for the two CHARLES LUNNON's

CHARLES RICHARD LUNNON d .1974 aged 77 Buthcher
with
ALICE MAY LUNNON d. 1971. aged 75. Wife

CHARLES LUNNON d. 1928 aged 78. Bacon Curer
with
 ALICE d. 1925 aged 53 Wife.
An infant, ARTHUR HENRY is also there.

So it would appear that there are 2 generations here and this can probably rule out the BALLARAT group.
