Hi Tisha, you are not nosey- family history is all about fact finding.

I will look at those sites.
My daughter has just got married- carrying on a very old tradion at the church. Two county magazines in Hampshire are interested in running a story so I wanted to add a few colourful characters.

Aunt Lily passed this chest down and it has some postcards send home from Burma in the early 1900's. My husband also has his telescope from his boat.

Will keep in touch over this.
Thank you.

Hi caefai,

You are probably aware your posting is on the Australian board..

You have not told us any reason you have for suspecting an Australian connection.

The Hollywood connection does not seem relevant at this point. ;D

Sue

Sue asked you a couple of things here but  you have only touched back on the "hollywood connection"

Do you think  this person came to Australia?

The Australian members of rootschat have a good deal of resources and lots of time and energy to help you but we do need some information  to do so

thanks Jenn

Hi Jenn, Thank you.

Trish's help has been fantastic and I have made the connection with Estall.
No do not think there is an Australian connection at the moment but got to your site by typing into Google Lunnon and it came up with it. So glad I did too as I would never have found this connection.
We have now established the connection with the Lunnon's, and the sea chest belonging to Michael Powell's brother was with George Lunnon's wife Lily in London so there must be a connection as the family tales tell- but what?
Thank you everyone.

Hi Patricia, just remembered(going daft)  in our tree we have Jane Powell marrying William Scutt,  with family name going through as Powell Scutt, adding a new tree to my list and working on it now.Speak soon.Tisha

Hi Tisha, Hubby says he must be Gordon Powell as he remembers it. The sea chest was at Lily Gues and given to his Dad after she died.

He is going to phone his Dad to see if he knows more although his parents are not very interested in family history!
