BYATT in Throcking or Sandon
« on: Tuesday 19 January 10 21:42 GMT (UK) »
Edward Byatt married  1st in Throcking 22 oct 1803 to sarah head
then a 2nd marriage in Sandon 14 nov 1812 to mary hollinsworth.
Either of these records might give more information on Edward Byatt to help me get back a bit further on this line.  Is his fathers name recorded, his age, where he was from or maybe witness names might help.

many thanks christine

Hi Christine,

Found the two marriage entries on parish records at HALS.
1803 Throcking - No first name given but clearly signed Edward BYATT.  Sarah made her mark X.  Both otp. Witnesses Mary CARTER and Henry PETTIT.
1812 Sandon -  Edward shown as widower, Mary spinster. Edward signed, Mary made her mark X.  Witnesses John HEAD and Mary THURGOOD.
No reference to Edward's father.

Regards   ...   Peter

Peter
Many many thanks for doing this look up, it does confirm that's its the same edward byatt as he was a widow for the 2nd marriage.  Also some of the witness names do come up elsewhere in this family search and so may confirm some relationships.

Christine
