Millets Bakers Franchise Street Derby
« on: Sunday 17 January 10 23:19 GMT (UK) »
Hi Folks

I wondered if anyone had a photo of Millets Bakery Shop on the corner of Franchise Street and Freehold Street Derby .

It was demolished in the late 80's or early 90's I believe.

I have looked at thousands of Derby photos on the web but I can't seem to find anthing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Paul

Hi Pauline

My wife's Grandmother worked at Millets on Freehold Street and my wife can remember going in when she was a child and getting free cakes from her Grandmother.
I just thought it would be nice to find a photo so that when my Sons grow up I can show them where their Great Grandmother worked.

Thanks for letting me know it was called Williamsons as I did not know that,
( I still can't find a photo though)

Thanks for your help

Paul

Hi Pauline

It would be great if you could get one I would really appreciate it.
I found a photo of Franchise Street as it used to be with terraced houses either side but the bakery was too far away to see anything.

Thanks Paul
