Interesting information,
Lazarus Potter, came to Australia in 1855 on the ship the "caroline", but what is interesting is that in the Biographical entries for South Australia that he has a 1st marriage to a Mary Baker nee Eveers who died in 1888. Is this the lady that you mean because I have so far not found any information on her, I know that Lazarus had 3 children in his 1st marriage WALTER, ALICE and ? , This is the line that I am meant to descend from so it is all really helpful.
Can you share any sources about Mary , thank you ::)

The name Everess it has changed through the years in Australia

John Everess and Mary Ann Seward it is Everess, there 2 Sons William and Thomas it changed some how
William stayed in SA and went under the name of Everes (1 S ) and was married to Matilda Little and settled in the Crystal Creek area both are buried there.
Thomas went to Broken Hill area and went under name of Everuss (E changed to U) and he married Johanna Geyer.
Is this confusing you, it took years to track down. would love to share all I have
Question is that your family tree on Ancestry.com (Tina 071) ??
Regards

Kevin

Yes that's my Tree on Ancestry, But my subscription has expired. Also the tree is no way near 100 right. The line from Edith Potter to Lazarus is fine but from there I am still refining it.
Edith Richards was my GGrandma and Lazarus was her grandfather she told me that he was married to a Mary Seward, I think in the marriage records there is a record of their union, but I will need to double check

I am it appears related to Lazarus Potter as I have only just found out so I am blown away to find out this information as there has been a gap in family history beyond our grandparents for myself that I have only just begun to explore..... through his son Walter Potter's second marriage our more recent family generations eminates from SA and particularly Wolsely my Great grandfather was Walter, whose son was William Walter George Potter one of three children ( 2 other siblings Daisy who married G. Cameron....... and Dorothy) to Walter Potter and Beryl May Dowdell, our line has lived in the Wimmera, Dimboola / Antwerp regions for a long time since leaving Wolsely.
