Hello Whinery,
So glad you have been in contact with me.
Don`t worry I`m also not good with a computer.
You are from the same planet as me.

We have certainly got the same family. My cousin came up with the name Sarah Jane Isaac but it could have been Sarah Ann Isaac .It could have been mistranscribed somewhere along the line as Jane and he had to find it.

The Herbert Albert Greaves who you think emmigrated to Tasmania is Rhoda Alberta Isaac`s son. Rhoda[sister of Sarah your husbands grandmother] and Sarah had a brother called Herbert Henry Isaac born in June in 1874 at Toxteth Park. Herbert Henry Isaac is my Grandfather he is the one that emmigrated to Tasmania not Rhoda Greaves son Herbert Albert Greaves.
I have the birth certificate of my Grandfather Herbert Henry Isaac and it says that his parents were Albert and Mary Isaac[nee Allen]Also on his marraige certificate it states that his parents were Albert Isaac and Mary Isaac[nee Allen]
In the 1881 census the family are living at 21 Arthur Street Toxteth Park Liverpool
Albert Isaac: father born Badminton Gloucestershire aged 39
Mary Isaac: mother born Galway Ireland aged 36
George A Isaac: son aged 10
Herbert Henry Isaac : son aged 6 [my grandfather

]
Rhoda A Isaac: daughter aged 4
Sarah Isaac : daughter aged 2 [your husbands grandmother]
Hannah Isaac: daughter aged 7 months
Margaret Allen servant born Galway Ireland who we believe is the younger sister of Mary.
All the children are stated born Liverpool
You have the details for the 1891 census

You will see that George is not with them either is Hannah as she died aged four and is buried at the Toxteth Park Cemetery.
Ruth died 12th March 1904 aged 20 years a spinster and is buried at the Toxteth Park Cemetery.
Mary Isaac died 18th January 1904 aged 58 years and was living at 21 Arthur Street Toxteth Park.Mary is buried at Toxteth Park Cemetery also.
Albert Isaac died 27th March 1911 aged 69 years and was living at 33 Bessemer Street Toxteth Park. He is also buried at Toxteth Park Cemetery.
Mary,Ruth Albert are all buried together.
By 1901 my grandfather Herbert Henry Isaac was living in Tasmania and had married my grandmother. They had by this stage had three children

My grandfather married here in Tasmania in September 1896.
Sorry if I have repeated myself on some things.

We certainly have a connection here Whinery

I hope I have now convinced you that your husbands grandmother Sarah Isaac and my grandfather Herbert Isaac were brother and sister.

I do have many details on this family which I would love to share with you.
Your husbands grandmother Sarah Isaac is the one we have been finding hard to trace but as you said you think she married three times so its no wonder we could not trace her after the 1891 census.

George A Isaac the brother to Sarah and Herbert vanished after the 1881 census and we have not been able to find hide nor hair of him.

John Ernest Isaac was born in 1872 but had died by 1873 thats why he is in no census living with Albert and Mary.
George and John Isaac were both born in West Derby.
Rhoda Alberta Greaves was living with her parents in 1901 with her son Herbert Albert Greaves as her husband Otho Greaves was a Master Mariner and travelled by ship from Liverpool to Nigeria on many journeys over the years. Rhoda I found often went with her husband Otho on these Journeys.
Rhoda also had a son Frank.
Does this all now make some sense to you Whinery.
