I've been reading this thread with interest as I know next to nothing about my ancestors in Straid and Ballynure, but the last post made me prick my ears up, as part of my family was Park.
Probably no connection as William was born in Straid in 1831, and married Margaret Strange in Ballynure in 1851 so a couple of generations before the people you mention, but what struck me was what a very very small world it is on this site!

Success!!!

With the kind assistance of Samantha Curry and the extraordinary efforts of Lara McConkey (both from the Newtownabbey Borough Council) - I will soon be receiving a copy of Mr. Scott's book!

I received a quick reply to my original email and it wasn't long until we worked out the payment details.  From their emails, it sounds like there may be a few copies remaining.

Now to wait on the Postman!  Thank you to all who helped point me in the right direction - and thanks especially to Samantha and Lara for their outstanding assistance  -

Cheers,
Terry Ballantine
