I wish someone would do some mystic genealogy on my family tree and contact my Grgrandfather John Laidlaw and find out who his real father was.!  As everyone who knew is now dead, there is no-one to ask.  The same old question  Which Lord someone crept into bed with your mother then?
I have left this on a back burner in the hope I might just accidentally find out. ::) ???

Perhaps I should have said he was living in Bradford, Yorkshire the last time he surfaces in 1878 on the elctoral list. He then disappears along with his wife Mary Ann leaving 4 children in the workhouse.
