Gizzy,
2 Sept 1848 Robert Downey married Margaret Heron in Belfast Civil Registrar's Office. The fathers' names were Thomas Downey and Robert Heron.

Dear Aghadowey,
I don't understand your message about Downey/Downie being "locked to prevent duplication of searches and replies." Could you explain? Thanks.

Nancy

Nancy,
You may already have this but Wallace Downey Jr, born 15 Apr 1879, was baptised in St. Stephens Church of Ireland, Belfast on 30 Apr 1879. At that time his parents lived at 61, Brown Square, Belfast. When Robert was baptised on 28 March 1873 the family lived in Robert Street, Belfast. When each of the other children were baptised the family seem to have had a different address for each.

Duplicate topics on different boards tend to cause confusion and extra work for those trying to help so I've posted link to the other 2 topics on Renfrewshire board and locked one to keep posted details all in one place.
