Still wondering who is hooking the day together?

The RC meet i have been on was done by Sarah and Tristan and they arranged it all .... if this is not co-ordinated then we could be wandering aimlessly around Liverpool...

What do everyone want to get out of the day? Is it a tour around Liverpool? Meet up with fellow researchers and go with the flow? or visit and see records and archives of our ancestors??

Deb

wel since we've booked and going anyway and ages since we've seen red think looks as if we're sorting ourselves out!

Bit disappointed that with 4 weeks to go we seem to have no wider plan.

Would be nice to meet other RC peeps as well as us all catch up too!

Katie - what's the plan for the weekend? We really need to get stuff booked.

I know this is quite an hard thing to do so I can emphasis with Katie. I sent her a few helpful links just now. I also know she has just started a new job which means she's not around as often as she was.

we could do our bit to help by copying and pasting names going and adding ours to the bottom so she has a list rather than one here there and everywhere. It was also suggested when I did Birmingham meet that we make our own badges (I was rubbish at this bit I will have to try draw one for this meet) and if someone could make a meet card that also will help. We all want this meet to go ahead I for one can't wait to meet more people

so to get the list rolling I see gjil + oh

if others copy and paste the list and add their names we can see more clearly and sort out who is getting there when later

If we do Liverpool, all the above are fairly close together - the Cathedrals are at opposite ends of the same street... but for those who don't know Liverpool, I strongly suggest the Yellow Duckmarine at the Albert Dock - http://www.theyellowduckmarine.co.uk - as a starting point.

found this post from Katie earlier on in the thread

also saw a post about the international slavery museum

How about we meet at Lime Street 10.30 outside M&S food to go (badges needed!!) then troll off to St Georges Hall and find a coffee shop there after we have done the law courts and cells !!

Then move along down to the Conservation Museum http://www.liverpoolmuseums.org.uk/conservation/

We could do the 7 historic streets of Liverpool or head down to the Albert Dock and go the Maritime Museum and Tate Modern and then take a trip across the Mersey and drop off in New Brighton or where ever

Then head back into Liverpool and visit Cavern Walks and then up to the Cathedral  etc etc

just a thought

Hi Cal

What you propose looks fab! Will be 3 of us (our daughter coming for part of the time)

Deb

Yes a meal on the Saturday night sounds good . Also we're going to do the ghostwalk I think later on.

Katie

Can you let us know what's happening?
