They were connected to Greachens and the Greachens were connected to my Swans but don't think there was a Swan/Henry link.

Walter Greachen married Thomas Henry's daughter Margaret in 1890, there was also a Robert Greachen who married another Henry.

Hewitt was the son of Dr Henry and May Jepson    born. 1905.

Henry's Medical Hall (i.e. chemist shop / drug store) was still going up to the 1970's, run by Hewitt Henry. I remember him as a smallish, slightly stooped man with a walrus moustache. He was a noted local amateur photographer. An advertisement at the end of a local history book published in 1895 states that the business was established in 1889, and the proprietor was Samuel Henry . By the way, other replys mention the 'Greachen' family. This should be 'Greacen', pronounced 'Greesen'

That is the way they spell and pronounce it, but parish records don't always agree, I've seen it as Greacen, Greachen, and Greason!!

What it should be and what it is in church records are a different matter!

Same with Swan and Swann, thank you!
