Okay... in light of your PM stating Maria died 1895... ignore the one in Lanc then.  Thought it might be a possible since some of the boys ended up there.

Just took a peak at Maria and Alfred W's marriage certificate... witnesses were Frederick COOPER and Elizabeth COOPER.

Wonder if this is the Verger we found earlier, and is that her sister Elizabeth.  Wonder if I should be looking for a marriage for her in London too??

There is an Elizabeth COOPER married in London, daughter of a William COOPER whose occupation was given as Tailor.... wonder if Breeches Maker also equals Tailor??

Okay then... there is a possible marriage for Elizabeth.  I will get the details for you and post them.  Will also follow up on the Census and hope that something comes up there to prove it.

Did they really wear leather then ? wonder if he was a posh tailor working with leather or whether he was a lower echelon just doing the bits the proper tailors didn't like to do ?
