Adam Shepherd

I am looking for information on Adam Shepherd. IGI has him being born in Dunfermline c 1800 and married to Elizabeth Herd and having at least 4 sons:
John born 1823 in Dunfermline
William born 1826 in Dunfermline
Alexander born 1830 in Dunfermline
George born 1835 in Dunfermline

The 1841 Census shows this family living in Bathgate, West Lothian.
George's marriage records in 1855 show that both his parents were deceased.

SP seems to have nothing on Adam except for a marriage in Kirkcaldy or Leith on 18th April 1812 between Adam Shepherd and Betty Hart. Is this the same one?

If anyone could confirm Adam's dates and the names of his parents, it would be very helpful.

Not sure if you have these births or not.
All are the children of Adam Shepherd and Betsy Herd and all born Dunfermline. (these are the actual IGI extracts and not the entries submitted by individual members, you might want to check them and see if there are any more)

John Shepherd born 29 OCT 1823
George Shepherd born 17 AUG 1835
William Herd Shepherd born 06 MAY 1826
Alexander Shepherd born 22 JUL 1830

George shows up on 1851 Census in Dunfermline listed as a lodger with brothers Alex & William.
In the home of “Watter” & Elizabeth Drysdale.

IGI shows a marriage for Walter Dryburgh and Elizabeth Shepherd  02 Jan 1849 Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland.

Might be an older child or sister of Adam?

Relative of mine - Peter Shepherds daughter married Thomas Mount who
lived at Cupar.   Shepherds lived at Dumf. I believe.  Marr.was around 1824
Must have been related somewhere.

Elizabeth was unknown to me. She was a daughter of Adam and Betty.

Sorry Dordee, no Peter Shepherd anywhere in my tree, yet. But I'm working on it.

this is an extracted entry.

the birth you have is a submitted entry (its just an assumption.) if he was born c1800 he wouldn't have been married in 1812.

also on the fife death index there is an ann shepherd born c1815 possible first child

Thanks for the info on Ann Shepherd.
The OPR marriage for Adam Shepherd states that his father's name is John Shepherd, living in Dunfermline.
Betty's parents were William Herd and Elizabeth Pearson(?) - could Adam's be John and Ann?
John Shepherd and Ann Morres/Morris were living in Dunfermline at the time.
Will have to dig deeper.

Walter died 31 Jul 1905 Lassodie Beath
Elizabeth died 17 Jan 1900 Lassodie Beath  Her birthplace on census info is cited as Dalkeith MLN

Walter was the son of Thomas DRYBURGH and Ann HENDERSON and brother to ancestor Janet DRYBURGH who married Thomas DOLAN.

Fifan - seems perhaps Adam Shepherd related to our Peter Sh. (who married Ann Ramsay)  as both in same location.
