Hello dettori28,  That makes a lot of sense now only i have a marriage sent from rootschat 1853 Dec 3rd for Mary Henderson and John Dowey as you have 1863 in Dec maybe you hit the wrong key number there.  Another thing is on Janes marriage she says her father was Thomas Henderson a Joiner,   in the 1881 census in East Denton Thomas Henderson a Joiner born Ovingham same in 1871 census with Jane Henderson daur born Newburn age 19 in 1881 census.  Its a jig saw puzzle isn`t it.    Sorry i never got straight back to you.   Regards Gladys. :)

Sorry Gladys - that should have been 1853 on the Mary Henderson - John Dowey marriage. I was flicking bwteen the birth, marriage and census records trying to get the picture of what had been happening. The names Dowey/Henderson seem to fit Jane. She married William Heron in 1871 so could'nt be the Jane on the 1881 with Thomas and Elizabeth Henderson. It would seem Jane was Mary Henderson's illegimate daughter, so perhaps her mother told her that her father was Thomas Henderson - a joiner !!! Would have to refresh my memory but Jane and William Heron already had other children by that date ?
Certainly a complicated one.  ;D ;D

Hi dettori28,   thank you very much for this which i got on that site and saw John Rees but haven`t got the scan image from you yet.
Its just came in my head that  Jane Henderson who married William Heron was living in Blyth in 1881 census so the other Jane Henderson could not be her living with Thomas and Elizabeth. as you said.    So now i am sorted out at last. ;D    I have appreciated your help.      Regards Gladys. :)

Hello, Gladys,

I have tried to reach you earlier, but because I am new to this, I was told I needed to repost. I do NOT know the date of John Rees' immigration, but what I do know is that he was in Sangamon County, Illinois, (most likely the small town of Dawson) in the late 1800's. He married Isabell (or Isabella) Heron. John Rees and my great-grandfather's brother, Franklin Squire Baugh, married sisters. Franklin's wife's name was Mary Heron. Mary and Franklin ended up in Kittitas County about 1896. She died there after having a child, William Baugh. In the 1900 census, Frank Baugh and his son, William, are living with John Rees and Isabella. I have also noticed that in Kittitas are families with the surname of Kitchen. This was a VERY common surname in the Dawson, Illinois area. It is my belief that John Rees, Franklin Baugh, and Kitchen family members all immigrated to Washington state from Illinois in the mid 1890's.  Also, Franklin Baugh's sister-in-law, the wife of my great-grandfather, had the maiden name of Rees!!!!! I know John Rees and my great-grandmother, Delilah Rees Baugh were NOT siblings, but I have to assume they were related. I have been trying for some time to find the connection. Hopefully we can help each other.

Vicki
