Look Up 1861 Census Please - CONWAY

I am trying to find Thomas CONWAY born abt 1860 in Kinson, Dorset.
His mother was called Martha, born abt 1838 in Newfoundland.(maiden name not known)
I do not know his fathers first name only that his surname was CONWAY. He died between 1863-1871.
In the 1871 census they are living in Longfleet, near Poole. Martha is a widow, schoolmistress.
Any help on this gratefully received.

I enterd "conway kinson" in the search engine with "Find ALL words" and got the following:

All these brick makers !!!   coincidence    related 
Just a speculation, based on the age of the Lytchett John:  could he be George Conway's dad, and the son is named Thomas John after his granddad ??  Something to think about !

Another speculation:  Lockyer is George's mother's maiden name

thomas john conway born 9th oct 1860 bapt 7th dec 1860 great canford dorsetparents listed as george lockyer conway and martha.there is also a brother listed-
george lockyer conway bapt 28th feb 1862 longfleet dorset.

Thank you so much for the information, it is marvelous. Now I only need to find Martha's maiden name and I can start to trace her in Twilling Gate, Newfoundland.

This really gets me going on the Conway line.

george lockyer conway died in the dec qtr of 1861 before son george was born 
poor martha left with a toddler and another one due.

That is him. I know that he died when his youngest son was born or just before, so that answers that question. I will send off for his death certificate as I would like to know what he died of poor soul.

Martha was from Twillingate in Newfoundland and life must have been hard for her with her husband dead and two children. I have her in the census and she became a teacher at a village school. I will trace her line as Twilling Gate records are online but first I have to find her marriage and find out what her maiden name was.

She never went back to Newfoundland but died here in England after what must have been a difficult life.
